Who We Are

John III

John III, our 4th generation farmer, experienced life on John's farm by hauling baby calves in the cab of the pickup during freezing temperatures, operating a combine unassisted in Wyoming at the age of 9, stocking a new pond with fish, owning a small pony named Babe, and walking on top of a snow drift in the driveway that was so tall he could touch the electrical lines when he was 5 years old. John's love of family, love of the soil, and adventuresome spirit combined to make him successful in his endeavors. As a result of John's commitment to and enthusiasm for agriculture, John was named the 1986 FFA Western Region Agribusinessman.

Following high school graduation, John continued his involvement on the family farm as well as developing an extensive custom harvest run. When arriving in southern Oklahoma to custom cut for an elderly lady she questioned, "Sonny, are you the boss?" Operating a combine came naturally to him, as did making friends, which he did across the Country from Texas, north to Idaho and west to California.

John married in 1993; he had a daughter, Madison. John attended college part-time, returning to the farm during the spring and summer months. Following an accident in 1995, John moved from farming on this earth with his dad to residence with his Heavenly Father. We deeply miss him and hold memories dear, especially his radiant smile and sense of humor.
