John
John is a third generation farmer and rancher in Major County, Oklahoma. As a child John lived in the Cheyenne Valley area, near the Gloss Mountains where he experienced tractor driving on his father's lap, learned to drive the pickup through the pasture as soon as his feet could reach the clutch and his eyes could peer above the dash, dined on chicken that was raised, butchered, and fried to perfection by his mom, witnessed the birth of baby calves while huddled in the corner of a drafty, cold, 3-walled shed, and noticed rattlesnakes basking in the warm sun at the rim of the mountains.
John left the farm but only long enough to earn a bachelor's degree. Returning to agriculture, John immersed himself into hands-on farming and into self-study, seeking to learn the advantages and health related benefits of natural farming practices. With the vision of providing the health conscious consumers a choice, John has become the largest organic grain producer in Oklahoma. Desiring to raise beef the way God intended, naturally, John initiated Cattle Tracks, 100% pure, natural beef free of implants, hormones and antibiotics. Cattle Tracks beef contains no by-products, artificial flavoring, or coloring, and has undergone minimal processing.
In early morning light, John can be seen hand feeding his calves while calling each by name. During the day, John is overseeing the various aspects of the family farm including cultivation, planting, and harvesting. In the light of the moon, John can be seen running the tractor across virgin-organic soil or releasing ladybugs to attack predators of the crops. Of coarse, if you look for John during special times, you'll find him at the dining room table enjoying conversation and laughter with his family.
