 About Cattle Tracks
John's Farm is in the business of producing exceptional beef because John is convinced that organic is the right way, the only way. Truly dedicated to quality and strongly committed to the health conscious consumer, beef is raised to taste the way it should -
Farming and ranching is more than a business to John; raising organic beef is part of who he is. A strict code of livestock principles is followed. Cattle are raised on land that is cared for by John, an environmental steward. Calves are treated with dignity and respect in an animal-friendly atmosphere that provides sunshine, fresh air, open spaces and less stress.
Cattle Tracks calves are grass-fed and receive a minimal amount of organic oats, milo, or barley, which is grown on our farm and made into feed on our farm. Molasses is added to our grain; calves love it! Our pastures are free of chemicals and fertilizers; we use only organic approved means of building healthy soil and maintaining natural grasses. In addition, our calves are slaughtered before 18 months of age, processing is monitored and we package and label our own beef. The consumer is assured of a safe, healthy, delicious product.
Improved health has been reported from using probiotic; therefore, Aqua-Zyme Plus is fed daily to calves to insure each animal has a good supply of beneficial, live bacteria and enzymes. In other words, John's calves are raised with care - simply organic!
Cattle Tracks Organic beef has been tested at the laboratory on the OSU Campus, Robert Kerr Food and Agricultural Products Center, to determine CLA content and determine the Omega6 to Omega3 ratio. The following is a summary of the findings:
Our comments about the sample we analyzed (base on the chemical analysis) are very positive as reported from the sample test.
1. The high level of CLA content (Cattle Tracks 9.85 mg/g lipid) is excellent (falls in the highest range reported in the literature).
2. The ratio of omega-6/omega-3 fatty acids (Cattle
Tracks 1.86) is well below 4. Below 4 is recommended by
nutritionist to be beneficial for human nutrition; the
0mega-3 has been documented as reducing the risk of
coronary heart disease.
