Andrea, Duane, Halle Faye and Nolton John

Andrea, our oldest daughter, and her husband, Duane, are raising their family, Halle Faye and Nolton John, in Tulsa where Andrea and Duane are professionally employed. Duane is a geo-thermal engineer and Andrea is a partner in a thriving business. Growing up on John's farm, Andrea experienced bottle-feeding baby calves, falling asleep while riding in tractor cabs, mowing the yard in a swimming suit, and learning to drive before the legal age to move vehicles from field-to-field. Although Andrea resides in a metropolitan area, part of the farm remains in her. She and Duane return on weekends and at crucial times to assist with the farming, providing extra "hands" during harvest and planting season. They also can be heard telling friends and acquaintances about the exceptional quality of Cattle Tracks beef. When first introduced to John's back-to-the-basics farming practices, Duane seemed skeptical. Now, he and Andrea blame John for tainting them - they prefer natural beef, and they implement organic practices in their small garden and lawn management. And, in the moonlight, you'll find them releasing friendly, aphid eating ladybugs among the squash, tomatoes, potatoes, cucumbers, okra, peppers, and eggplant.
Having a 4 yr. old girl and 1 yr. old boy visit our farm is a real treat for Nana and Papa. Halle loves sitting on Papa?s la, making her tall enough to see where she?s steering the pickup as they drive through the pastures checking the cows and looking for new baby calves. Before long Nolton will have boots, overalls, and a cap to wear when he visits the farm.
